So over the next few installments, you will see fashion recaps and pics of styles I caught on film during my journey. There are far too many to put up immediately so please bear with me. I was able to pick up a few new fab garments in my travels as well that I have absolutely fallen head over heels for, not to mention the fact that over in South Africa at this time they are heading into their Spring/Summer, so I totally scored on the 40% off winter sale deals !!! :]
The rand in comparison to the dollar also made things a bit easier spending-wise and I couldnt' get over the deals I was abel to get!!!! I've even made sure that I calculated all the items I bought over-seas into dollars so you can actually see the difference in pricing :)
In the end, it was an AMAZING vacation. I met some wonderful and brilliant people, found one-of-a-kind styles, saw some fascinating sights and even picked up some Afrikaans (the local language of South Africa), and I honestly cannot wait to get back there again, but I also felt like a part of me was missing. My daily routine over these past few months has been my blog; my baby. It's become my outlet and way to express my own personal passion for fashion...and so I say, it's good to be back and writing again about what I love. More to come :)
- Black leggings (Strawberry...$7...they lasted through my tumultous trip and I almost lost them once, hehe, I guess that means we're meant for each other)
- Green Knee-length Sweater Coat (Mr. Price...100 rand, marked down from 139 rand = $14...might be one of my favortie finds and it was perfect for the up-coming winter! EVERYTHING over there was half price on winter clothes seeing as they are going into their Spring/Summer!!!!!! :D)
- Bergundy tank top (Target...$14.99)
- African/Peacock image fire orange tank (Mr. Price...59.99 rand = $8...I love that it's a bit loose, I bought it in a Medium so it hangs low enough to double as a mini dress)
- Black knee-high boots (Garage Sale in TN...$.99...Mom a million thanks!!! I wore these non-stop on my trip and they were comfy AND an hit! )
- Silver dangle indian-inspired belt (V&A Waterfront...175 rand = $25)
