Y is for Yoke Detailing...I was at a bit of a loss for the friendly letter that is known as "y" until my lovely bff, Lauren, reminded me of a little attractive detailing known as the yoke collar :) Now, mind you, we're not talking about the inside of an egg here...
It's just, sometimes you just need a little decorative border and what better object is there to frame but your face? With yoke collars it's all about accenting your upper half, and it's a pretty likable trend for Fall as well (See yoke collared coat which can be found at www.Alloy.com).
The following dresses are from http://www.forever21.com/ and are pretty affordable. I love the neo-graphic print and neckline of this bergundy dress as well as the fold-over collared yoke of this gingham dress (very 'Mad Men'). A little yoking can be a good thing ;) (Too much? I digress)...
