One of the wonderful things about TN is that they have some AMAZING thrift shops to venture into...and this one below is one of my faves. My Mom always attends as my fashion companion and is a very patient shopper:) Let's just say I bought 3 shirt, a pair of houndstooth shorts annnd a pair of black heels all for $9!!! Poppycock you say? Fact, I say!
Anyways my friend, Lo, and I like to play a little game called "I got this for you..." which never ceases to land us in a fit of giggles. Basically the game consists of finding the most horrific fashion item you can and then showing the other person either in person, via e-mail or phone pic prefaced with something along the lines of "I was going to save this until Christmas...but..." or "So I don't want to spoil it, buuuuuuut...Happy Birthday!!!!"

Even now as I write this I'm holding in a chuckle or two at some of the hideous images we have chosen to capture. We've gone so far as 'Hannah Montana' backpacks, those freakish sweaters with sewn on kittens or reindeer that are suposedly meant to be worn around the Holidays but still should never be worn...

If there is anyone out there who has any horrific fashion faux-pas that they would like to send me... please feel free and I will put them up in the "Fashion Don't" section of this blog. The challenge if before you my friends, because the only thing worse than a fashion don't is a fashion-never-should-have-been!
While we were thrifting I was able to come across a few gems myself and I just couldn't resist posting them for you guys at home. I can't get enough of these! Where does one wear these things I ask you?
