Today (Oct. 30th, 2009) I'm Wearing...

Today was a great day and the fact that it's also Friday makes it double great :) Tomorrow is Halloween so tonight Neil and I decided to rent some horror movies to get into the spirit. I love my horror films like no other so we decided to go all out. We got 'The Evil Dead', which oddly enough I had never actually seen before (classic, but some of it was laughable), and another film called 'Rec', a Spanish movie which was the inspiration for 'Quarantine' (which I absolutely think is one of the best scary movies out there right now!). Now I'm watching 'Friends' to counter-act the fright if you will ;)

So, today I had an interview today and I wanted a polished look. I often forget I own this streamlined tutleneck dress. It's a houndstooth print which is a pettern I am loving right now, and it's funny because I got it about three years ago. Just goes to show how trends die only to be instantly reborn. I love when styles make a comeback and you've still got those great key pieces ;)

Next I added this cherry-red obi belt to cinch me at the waist and topped it off with a gray 3/4 length cardigan. Add some classic black knee-high boots and I felt ready to face the world.
  • Tan Houndstooth print turtleneck dress (Some shop on St. Marks that shut down...I used to love it because it had really affordable and unique clothes for next to nothing. It came with a black wide leather belt but I usually end up alternating with my own...$23)
  • Gray Cardigan
  • Black Knee High Boots ( $1 at a garage sale in TN...my mom snagged 'em for me :)
  • Red Obi belt (Charlotte Russe...$14...love it!)
  • Black elephant tail hair bracelet (South Africa...60 rand=$7 or $8)
