Today (Oct. 16th-18th, 2009) I'm Wearing...

Alrighty, it's a weekend recap my friends. Life has been a little hectic as of late and I have been dying to get back to my blog so here is what I wore this past weekend. Friday was a bit of a play day. I've been trying to find new ways to wear this cream-colored open cardigan, so I tried a couple of different looks and I liked the subtle differences in both. These two looks are a bit more polished than the items I normally pair it with and I really like the versatility of the piece. I'm always up for clothing that can instantly be transformed;) I went with a sophisticated look to attend Nerd Night in Brooklyn. Two of my friends were giving lectures and presentations and I'm always down to support a fellow friend. The topics were on Zombies and Swingers, lol. It was fantastic, sort of like learning but with cocktails. I swear that is what our school systems are missing! I kid, I kid...

Saturday, the weather was cold, as usual! I keep hearing a rumor that the harsh winds will subside this upcoming week but I'll believe it when I see it! Earlier in the day I slummed around in my uggs and wore my brand new winter jacket while running some errands, then for the evening I considered my silver chain-link belt that I am in love, love, love with lately!!!!

I met up with my friend, Kara in the evening for a sushi and then cocktails at Key Bar. Since bringing out my winter clothes, I have rekindled a few relationships with items I almost completely forgot that I owned. It's like a mini Christmas and my wardrobe has expanded before my very own eyes! One of my favorite pieces is this eggplant purple sweater dress that I got about 3 years ago at H&M. It's so multifaceted look-wise and I never tire of combining it with new things! It was the perfect outfit for a girl's night out!

Yesterday was more of a lazy Sunday with very little movement on my end, lol. It was truly a day for jeans and a hoodie, if you ask me. In this case, it would be my warm, cozy Miami Beach sweatshirt. Ahhhh, complete and total comfort...
