Saturday night and I'm going to watch the big UFC fight ...I spent the ealier part of my day chillxing with friend Kate on her outdoor deck and swimming ( I think for about the 4th time in my life, I got sunburnt... I tied to use powder to diffuse the blaring red lobster hue of my chest to no avail...well, at least I got some color ;). Then, as fate would have it, on my way home, I stumbled upon one of my favorite thrift spots and found this white, slouchy open cardigan and a fabulous double grommet belt in a rich choclatey brown hue that I just couldn't pass up! As far as double-prong belts go, this will be my 2nd...the first was ordered from the Delia's catalog when I was in middle school. I remember falling in love with it from the moment I saw it jump from the page; that and the fact that this was at No Doubt's peak of fame and I had seen Gwen Stefani sporting one just like it in a copy of Seventeen magazine...
That belt and I had some good years, unfortunately I lost it in a bad lending accident, however I am glad to have found a replacement for it in my wardrobe once again :)

I found it at a Salvation Army thrift shop and I wore it until there wasn't a stitch left, sadly. It truly was my every-occasion bag and I couldn't believe that I came across it's twin just over the bridge in Brooklyn ;)
