"My 26 Little Summer Must Haves" #14

N is for Necklaces...

I say you can never, ever have too many necklaces! My jewelry collection is such a personal reflection of who I am and consists of things I've collected over the years, some as far back as middle and high school, but I've managed to hold on to them because you never know when you will want to channel a part of yourself you haven't tapped into in a while. They're such fascinating relics and facets of who I am now, and it's amazing how such a simple item can change up an outfit in an entirely different way. I love to have fun with jewelry, from layering them, to knotting them, and even remixing them by changing up the length or removing unnecissary trinkets (for tasks such as these, pliers have become a close and personal friend, the tip is just small enough to fit in the links of chains ;) Half the fun is the creativity of putting pieces together to enhance your overall look. That's what makes fashion fun! Load 'em up, pile them on; who says they need to match? You're the artist here, just make sure to let your personality to shine though!

*My favorite places to find intricate styles and unique pieces...thrift shops, flea markets and consignment shops for original and antique items. For more trendy and up to date looks, go to Forever 21 and or H&M :)
