Today (May 10th, 2009) I'm wearing...

Sunday is here again and this Sunday is extra-super special because it's Mother's Day!!!!! I hope everyone made their calls or celebrated with their mommies!!!:) This morning I made cinnamon honey waffles but first we had to go early morning grocery shopping at Trader Joe's so I sort of just went schizo and threw whatever was around on!

I look rather meloncholy in this photo but I can assure you this was not the case :P The look started with my abstract print shirt + my fave black leggings + wooden bead necklaces + my super awesome purple hoodie that is older than time, lol !!!!!! I got this from Forever 21 years ago when I was still in the college, slacker dress mode but every now and then I pull it out of mothballs and give it its own chance to shine! It really is pretty cool and what drew me to it was the fleur de lis design on the back with studs and ripped thread detailing...LOVES IT!!!!! Add my slightly out there flower flats and I'm on my way!!! Besides, Sunday's shouldn't require that much brainpower when it comes to dressing unless you're meeting the Queen, right?!?

  • Black leggings (Strawberry's)
  • Green/cream abstract print tee (Forever 21 ..$15)
  • Flower flats (Payless)
  • Wooden beads (One purchased from street vendor for $2, the other got for free in a jewelry swap!!!)
  • Purple "fleur de lis" print hoodie (Forever 21)
Dinner later that nite out w/ Chelsie :)

  • Black empire waist bubble dress (Forever 21...$16)
  • Steven Allen blazer jacket (Steven Allen in SoHo...$60 marked down from $140!!!..Falling apart with bleach stains...I think they add character ;)
  • Brown slouch bag (thrifted...$4...it's got a billion pockets...I thought it would just be a "last resort" bag and I now used it almost more than any other! I always get compliments on it...)
  • Brown wooden beads ($2...they came with a pair of earrings but I had to draw the line...)
  • Dolce Vita sandals (DV...my friend Chelsie and I ended up wearing the same exact pair to dinner!!! What can I say...great minds!!!)
