For the concert I wanted to totally dress the part of the subtle rocker goth chick (dark eye make-up, lots of black and layers and tough metallics and jewelry choices.)
I started with my sankeskin tank as a base that I turned into a dress for the occasion and some capri black leggings. I threw one of my sparkly bikini tops underneath as a bra because I heart the bold detailing. I wore my black knee-high boots because my rationale is that every concert entered into which has the potential for a full-blown mosh-pit should result in footwear that can HANDLE a full-blown mosh pit (Nothing exposed below the ankle in other words ;)...I have been in my fair share enough to know in the past!), but to give them a funky edge I rolled them down...and I kind of dig the look!!!! Pile on some of my over-sized dog chains and biker gear bracelets and I was ready to go. ( I even got to dress Neil, a rarity I must admit, tee-hee :P ...I got away with everything but the black eyeliner...)
In the end the concert was everything I dreamed it would be and more!!! I will definately be front row and center again for their next show!!! It was actually the lead singer, Chibi's birthday the night of the concert, and they totally rocked it out hardcore!!! Everything was perfect from start to finish!!! So, it's not hard to tell I love this band with a burning passion but the BEST part of the night was when I crowd surfed towards the stage and the lead singer, Chibi, helped me up, and gave me a hug and a kiss while I was on stage in front of everyone during their first song!!! I could have died right there...(sigh)...and THAT my friends, is how I became a die-hard fan of 'The Birthday Massacre'.
