Sorry folks, I've been MIA a tad the past few days...I had the wonderful pleasure of having two of the most important women in my life come to the Big Apple to visit me...my Mom and my Aunt, so I've been running around the city living it up and (wait for it...) doing a little bit of shopping!!!!! So I have some new items to add to my blog-a-roo for you :)
Like this brand new dress (a truly awesome gift from my fabulous mother) from H&M. I like it because it's 50% 80's cocktail dress, 50% sexy secretary, and 100% bad-ass LBD all rolled into one! I Love the back detailing with a capital "L"!!! The snaps?!?! I would like to shake hands with the person who constructed the design of this dress because it is sheer majestic perfection!!!
I wore this Friday night when my family took me to Tom Collicchio's restaurant, 'Craft' over on 19th street (Plug Mr. Collicchio...wink, wink) and it was by far the best food experience I have ever had! I threw a blazer over it that my friend, Sarah, helped me remix by cutting slits in it to remove the shoulder pads, (I didn't want an 80's overload!) add my strappy black heels and my jet black cocktail bag and I was vision...don't you think?
- Black cocktail dress w/ back snap closures (H&M...$24...my next fashion move...to wear it backwards, and open the top snaps to create a "v"-neckline ;)
